Discover the art of pottery by making it with your own hands. Make it into a nice day and have a date, spend some family time, come with your bestie, or come by yourself and enjoy a one-on-one workshop.
This is a 2-day workshop. The first session is 1.5 hours, and the second session is 2 hours. You will create your own pottery pieces from start to finish.
DAY 1:
In the first session, I will guide you and teach you the basic techniques for making your pieces on the pottery wheel.
You will get 3 balls of 400g of clay, and you can choose to make a mug, plate, bowl, trinket dish, candle holder, or another shape you would like to try.
After this session, if you successfully made 3 pieces, you can keep all 3 of them for painting and firing! I will trim the pieces so they are ready for your next session.
DAY 2:
The second session will normally take place at least 1 week after the first session, or on another date that suits you better.
By this time, your pieces will already be trimmed and bisque fired, so you can manipulate them more easily and create your own designs.
The session will last 2 hours, during which you can paint and decorate your pieces. After the session, I will glaze your pieces for you, and you can pick them up approximately 4 weeks later.
The workshop includes:
→ 2 sessions (different days): 1.5 hours for the pottery wheel and 2 hours for painting and decorating.
→ 3 balls of 400g of clay, materials and firings are included.
→ You can make up to 3 pottery pieces during the first session.
→ Your pieces will be trimmed and bisque fired between sessions.
→ A 2-hour painting and decorating session where you can create your own designs on your pieces.
→ After the second session, I will glaze your pieces for you.
→ A hot or cold drink before or after the classes.
→ The finished pieces will be ready for collection approximately 4 weeks after the second session, depending on the drying, glazing and firing process.
*Please be aware that after your pieces are made, during the drying process, the clay is changing. These changes can generate cracks or even cause breakage in the kiln. This is a natural process of working with clay and something that can happen to anyone. If you want more information, you can check the menu above under "FAQs".
*The price includes the materials, firings and a hot or cold drink before or after the classes.
WHAT TO BRING TO THE SESSION:
I have an apron in my studio for you, but I still suggest you bring old clothes that you don’t mind getting dirty. Make sure your nails are short, and you can bring something to tie your hair.
Bring creativity and enthusiasm! Please understand that pottery is a very nice and relaxing process. Try not to bring too much on your mind — just let yourself flow with the clay so you don’t get frustrated.

Rescheduling: Rescheduling your Workshop is free of charge when done with more than 72 hours. However if you decide to reschedule within less than this 72 hours hours will incur a €25 reschedule fee. Finished items: I always take care of my clients pieces to ensure that they will make the whole process without any outcomes, however, due to the nature of ceramics sometimes some pieces can break, explote, or crack when they are fired. I cannot be held responsible for any undesirable outcomes since is something that I cannot control. I have an alternative solution for this which I will discuss with you in the session.
