With a strong focus on mastering the basics, you’ll work mainly on simple forms—such as cylinders—and complete 5–8 pieces while gaining confidence and control.

Course Outline:

  • Week 2 – First Steps in Trimming: After your pieces have had time to dry, practice trimming to refine their form and lighten their weight.

  • Week 3 – Preparing Clay & Advancing Throwing Skills: Learn proper clay preparation and push your throwing technique further for improved precision and consistency.

  • Week 4 – Mastering the Trim: Enhance your trimming methods to give your work a cleaner, more professional appearance.

  • Week 5 – Introduction to Glazing: Explore easy glazing techniques that add both decoration and protection before the final firing.
